ENTRY

Do I get a badge?

Rally badges are limited. Prepaid entrants will have a badge set aside at the gate for them, the rest will be provided to Rider/Pillion entrants on a first come first serve basis so when we run out, that’s it. Don’t snooze and loose.

What kind of tickets are available and how much are they?

Prepaid Tickets – The Recomended Option

Prepaid Rider/Pillion Pass $40p/p + processing fee

Includes all Friday and Saturday activities with camping available till Sunday. Entry includes a 2025 badge.

Note: Prepaid sales close prior to the event (midday Thursday 6th March) and are non refundable.

Gate Sales AvailableOn The Day

Rider/Pillion Pass $50 p/p

Includes all Friday and Saturday activities with camping available till Sunday.

Entry may include a 2025 badge. There is a limited supply so first in first served.

Pedestrian Pass $50 p/p

Includes all Friday and Saturday activities with camping available till Sunday.

No badge is included. No entry after 6pm, unless permitted at the discretion of the gate manager.

Children’s Pass

$50p/p aged 15+
$20 p/p children under 15
under 5’s Free

Includes all Friday and Saturday activities with camping available till Sunday.

2 Hour Pass

Includes rally entry for 2 hours only. No badge is included. Available Friday and Saturday 9am-6pm only.

Entrants get given a pass stating hours permitted on the grounds. $50 p/p, then refunded $40 when entrant exits within the 2 hours, or Children (under 15) charged $20 on entry and $15 refunded on exit.

Will tickets be available at the gate on the day?

Yes. Rider/Pillion Pass, Pedestrian Pass, Children’s Pass and 2 Hour Pass are available at the gate.

What happens if I arrive without my Prepaid Ticket?

There is the ability to search for tickets within the system, however this is not ideal and can cause a delay at the gate.

You will need proof of ID for us to commence any search in the system.

Please keep your ticket safe and in a handy spot to access when you enter.

Can I purchase tickets at a reduced price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?

No, there are NO REDUCED-PRICE TICKET SALES during the event.

Prepaid tickets sold online are the only discounted tickets available.

Note these sales close prior to the event (midday Thursday 6th March) and are non-refundable.

Is the Rally 18+?

The Rally site is licensed, so rules apply.

Persons under 18 years are not permitted at this event unless they are accompanied and supervised by their parent or legal guardian AT ALL TIMES.

Evidence of age will only be accepted by NZ or foreign passport, NZ driver’s licence or HANZ 18+ card.

CAMPING

Can I bring my caravan or campervan?

Yes, caravans and campervans are welcome, and we have a dedicated area for you. We understand that some of our loyal fans are needing a little bit more comfort in their prime, so bring along your caravan if you want to.

Please arrive to be set up before 2pm Friday 7th March to avoid congestions and help our team ease the flow of traffic.

Can I cook in the camp area?

Yes. The site is set up as a temporary camping facility. NO open fires allowed.

There will be food and beverage stalls catering also, so if you don’t want to pack your own cooking equipment you won’t starve!

Will there be showering facilities?

Yes. The A&P Pavillion will be open for a period of the morning. Check the noticeboard in the bar for hours/details.

What time are the grounds open?

Gates will be open from 9:00pm on 7th March and the grounds must be vacated by midday Sunday the 9th March.

Can I bring my friends or visitors into the Campground?

No, only paid rally entrants are permitted into the grounds.

AT THE RALLY

Do you have March Hare merchandise?

Yes, we do! We have an assortment of men’s and ladies’ tees, singlets, long sleeve tops, shorts and hoodies, as well as caps, beanies, can coolers, can slings and patches.

Find us in the Western corner of the bar shed. Open Friday afternoon and again on Saturday. If we sell out of something, then we can take orders and mail out.

What happens if it rains on the day?

You might get wet, but the rally will go ahead rain, hail or shine.

Can I bring my own alcohol into the Rally?

No. The March Hare Rally a provides great, well-stocked bar and has plenty of food stalls also. All bikes/caravans and bags may be searched on arrival. Any alcohol will be confiscated.

Is there a Courtesy Coach?

Yes. We have a courtesy coach operating from the main entry gate. This will be running over the duration of the rally between Waimate and the rally site. Meet at the Main gate to get on the next ride.

Is there anyone on site for First Aid?

Yes. We have a couple of people on site doing shifts to provide first aid services. Come to the f irst aid tent by the entry gate for assistance.

Where do I report any lost or found articles?

Found: Please take any found items to our crew or hand them in at the Bar or Gate.

Lost: If you misplace something please check with the Bar or Gate as things will be turned in there.

Can I bring my own food and water into the Rally?

Yes, we do allow for outside food to be brought onto the site. There is access to free water and hot drinks at the drink’s kiosk and there’s also chilled bottled water for purchase at the bar.

Will there be food vendors?

Yes, we have a large variety of food vendors that will be providing a great range of food options available for purchase – trading from Friday.

Is there disabled access & facilities?

Yes, there is wheelchair access, surfaces however include gravel roadways, grass and dirt covered areas. There are very limited concrete pathways around the bar and pavilion only.

Sale Of Liquor

Liquor licensing requires certain conditions to be adhered to, these will be displayed at the bar. The bar will be open from 11am till late. There may be a maximum number of drinks per sale, please understand this is a requirement of our licence.

What kind of cameras & recording devices can I bring with me?

We expect that most people will bring their mobile phones or other devices that are able to record. Whilst this is allowed, we ask that you please be mindful of who you are filming and their right to enjoy their weekend without being plastered on social media. Less cameras can lead to a more enjoyable time for all.

No professional cameras are permitted without formal media approval.

Who’s played at the 2025 Rally?

Cold Kranking Amps is a Rock and Blues cover band based out of Oamaru. They party hard and play loud!!!!

Consisting of Sam Hill and Simon Tester ‘Assembly Required’ are a high energy, highly entertaining, in your face duo who never fail to deliver crowd cheering, toe tapping, foot stomping performances.

With a blend from Folk/Blues to Rock/Pop, combined with a dash of comedy and plenty of on stage antics it’s no wonder people describe ‘Assembly Required’ as one of the most entertaining acts around.

Make sure you catch ‘Assembly Required’ live if you can, as you will not be disappointed!!!!

WHAT TO BRING / NOT TO BRING

What should I bring to the Rally?

As well as a great attitude, we suggest you bring:

Your prepaid ticket if you have purchased one

Photo ID

Camping Equipment (tent, bedding etc.)

Gear for the sunshine such as a hat & sunscreen

Gear for the rain such as a weatherproof jacket

Cash or Eftpos – both are widely accepted at the gate, bar and stalls

What should I NOT bring to the Rally?

The following items are prohibited:

BYO Alcohol IS NOT PERMITTED and any alcohol found at the Rally will be confiscated

Glass (jars, bottles etc.)

Dogs (excluding service dogs such as guide dogs)

Motorised toys or unregister ‘able bikes

Weapons or explosives of any kind

Illegal substances

Any other item deemed by Rally staff (at their discretion) to be dangerous/offensive or potentially dangerous
